Paramedic
Job Summary
The Paramedic provides advanced life support, emergency medical care, and transport for patients in pre-hospital settings as authorized by a physician. This role involves responding to 911 calls, administering critical interventions, and ensuring patient stabilization during transport. The Paramedic must demonstrate strong clinical skills, decision-making abilities, and professionalism in high-pressure situations.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess and prioritize patient conditions to determine necessary medical procedures.
- Administer advanced life support, including IV therapy, medication administration, intubation, defibrillation, and trauma care.
- Monitor patient responses to treatments and adjust care as needed.
- Communicate effectively with medical teams, patients, and families.
- Maintain accurate patient records and comply with insurance documentation requirements.
- Ensure proper vehicle and equipment readiness, cleanliness, and compliance with safety protocols.
- Stay current on medical protocols, treatment techniques, and regulatory requirements.
- Operate emergency vehicles safely and maintain a clean driving record.
Qualifications
Virginia Paramedic Certification (Required).
Maintain continuing education for recertification.
Compensation & Benefits
3.00 weeknights | $4.00 weekends | $10.00 holidays.
Every other weekend & rotating holidays required.
Salary : $20 - $28
