Role Summary
As a Provider Relations Representative, you will play a pivotal role in growing sales revenue and nurturing current relationships at (3) assigned compounding pharmacy locations. The role is a hybrid remote role, selling pharmacies located in Richmond Virginia, Austin Texas, and Orlando Florida. These pharmacies focus is non-sterile compounding for both human and animal health.
In this role you would be focusing on sales growth, service quality, and effective account management. This position will be selling a variety of therapeutic lines, including both human and animal health. This physician-facing role emphasizes building loyalty to the pharmacies by fostering strong relationships with local prescribers and driving sales of compounding pharmacy products. The position requires extensive travel (up to 75%) to develop in-person connections, host local prescriber events, and support initiatives that enhance pharmacy sales and customer retention. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, experienced in compounding sales, and committed to optimizing pharmacy performance through provider relations and proactive account management.

Key Responsibilities
Sales and Business Development (75%)
- Drive sales initiatives by promoting targeted compounding product lines, seasonal offerings, and custom solutions that align with the specific needs of prescribers and patients.
- Host local prescriber events to showcase pharmacy offerings, build prescriber loyalty, and strengthen relationships with the local community.
- Track sales performance against established targets, adjusting strategies as needed to ensure growth, profitability, and the achievement of revenue goals.
Relationship Building and Provider Support (15%)
- Act as a liaison between provider offices and pharmacies, ensuring each practice is informed of new product offerings, regulatory updates, and market trends relevant to their specialties.
- Conduct regular check-ins with prescriber offices to gather feedback on pharmacy services, address any concerns, and strengthen loyalty to the assigned pharmacies.
- Coordinate with pharmacy and provider teams to host educational events or seminars that highlight the benefits and capabilities of the compounding services provided by the pharmacies.
Account Management (15%)
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned pharmacies, ensuring strong, positive relationships and proactive communication with both pharmacy staff and provider offices.
- Collaborate closely with pharmacy teams to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve any operational or service challenges that may impact prescriber satisfaction and patient outcomes.
- Analyze pharmacy metrics and performance data to inform strategies for increasing revenue and optimizing operations, ensuring a high standard of service across all locations.
Qualifications
- Education: Associate’s degree in Business, Veterinary, Healthcare Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years in sales, account management, or provider relations, preferably within the compounding or pharmaceutical industry.
- Skills: Strong communication, relationship management, and sales skills; proficiency in data analysis and CRM tools; event planning experience is a plus.
- Other: Must have a valid driver’s license and be comfortable with frequent travel to assigned pharmacy and surrounding provider locations (up to 75%).
Physical Requirements:
- Proficient in using a computer and related equipment, including printers and fax machines.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Effective communication skills via telephone and email.
- Capable of lifting up to 30 pounds as needed.
Key Performance Indicators (KPI)
- New Provider Acquisition: Identify and target potential prescribers, including physicians, clinics, veterinarians, and other healthcare facilities, to expand our 503A compounding pharmacy network.
- Provider Retention: Establish and maintain strong, long-term relationships with current pharmacy prescribers.
- Revenue Growth: Understand and strategize how to meet aggressive financial goals for network growth and revenue generation.
Execute strategies to drive revenue growth, increase market share, and achieve targets.
