Contract role to cover maternity leave. Approximately six months in duration. Possibility to turn into permanent full time position. Must be able to work in Midtown Manahttan office three days a week.
Associate Director Summary:
This role is responsible for overseeing the account management team in the planning and implementation of OOH client strategies from initial brief to post campaign analysis. The ideal candidate will represent the agency and manage the entire team and process to meet critical path deadlines and ensure effective client service.
Candidate will have an excellent understanding of account handling, the overall sector and industry. They will be a confident communicator both internally and externally and be able to use their own initiative to identify new ways of working with their clients to improve our offering while actively developing business.
Essential Responsibilities:
- ● Proactively lead the overall communication, planning and implementation process to provide insightful communication plans for clients.
- ● Delivers overall revenue and profit production of their dedicated account.
- ● Develop and maintain strong client relationships through effective client service, proactive problem solving and the
- successful execution of all facets of account management with clients, agencies and media owners.
- Manage the team day to day acting as a mentor to junior employees. Conduct annual and interim appraisals of team members in a thorough and professional manner. Help junior staff work toward their professional goals.
- ● Prioritize tasks and appropriately delegate to individual members of the team, ensuring they are given adequate time, resource and are sufficiently trained to execute the tasks.
- ● ·Manage and provide client service for existing accounts including: negotiating schedules and rates, monitoring schedule performance and provide planning costs and post buy analysis.
- ● Retain and grow existing client budgets and develop new business from existing accounts.
- ● Ensure delivery of business goals and company/department vision.
- ● Working with cross agency teams to promote clients' interests with strategically important media owners.
- ● Take part in new business pitches and provide insightful and comprehensive communications solutions.
- ● Provide the opportunity for team members to be involved at client meetings.
- Leadership/Management
- ● Supervise all work, in terms of its quality, accuracy, insightfulness and innovation.
- ● Presenting market updates and insight to clients and agencies.
- ● Working with Account Director to develop and adapt servicing to meet and exceed client and agency needs, looking
- for ways to proactively grow the business.
- ● Identifying potential client issues and work with team to develop solutions Ensure planning process is being adhered
- to, utilizing industry tools and internal tools effectively.
- ● Performing competitive analysis and post campaign analysis.
- ● Ensuring the Media Planners & Media Supervisors in the team are delivering on deadlines.
- Job Specifications:
- ● Bachelor degree 7 years’ experience within either an OOH agency, or full service media agency.
- ● OOH expertise across all environments.
- ● Possess thorough client knowledge - also client's market and competitors information.
- ● Proven ability to maintain and grow client relationships through the delivery of superior customer service.
- ● Previous experience in presenting to top level clients.
- ● Be able to manage and motivate employees and clients.
- ● Possess commercial awareness and demonstrate business acumen.
- ● Experience staffing, managing and developing staff.
- ● Previous experience in client facing role and account management.
- ● ·Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including presentation skills.
- ● Proficiency with Microsoft Desktop software, specifically: Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- ● Ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while managing tight deadlines.
- ● Strong organizational and analytical skills.
- ● ·Supportive team player yet confident to work under own initiative.
Salary : $100,000 - $130,000
