Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance on facilities, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and general repairs.
- Read and interpret schematics to diagnose issues and implement effective solutions.
- Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to track work orders and maintenance schedules.
- Supervise maintenance staff as needed, providing guidance and support in daily operations.
- Weld and fabricate components as required for repairs or modifications.
- Execute residential painting tasks to maintain the aesthetic quality of facilities.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment and systems to identify potential problems before they escalate.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
Requirements
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance or a related field.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot various systems effectively.
- Familiarity with CMMS software is preferred.
- Ability to read schematics and technical drawings accurately.
- Experience in supervising staff is a plus, demonstrating leadership capabilities.
- Proficiency in welding and fabrication techniques is desirable.
- Basic skills in residential painting are advantageous.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment.
- Must live within a 20 mile radius of Portland, Maine.
