Golf/Turf Equipment Service Technician

JOB TITLE : Service Technician - In-House

JOB CLASSIFICATION : Non-Exempt

REPORTS TO : Shop Manager

POSITION SUMMARY : This position is responsible for the daily functions related to inspections, maintenance, and repair of turf and professional mowing equipment, used for golf courses, resorts, and athletic fields. This individual will perform all duties per Revels policies and procedures and all state and federal regulations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES (including, but not limited to) :

• Performs diagnostics and repairs on John Deere equipment and technology
• Consult equipment operating manuals, schematics, and drawings
• Perform scheduled maintenance, such as cleaning and lubricating parts
• Diagnose and identify malfunctions using computerized tools and equipment
• Inspect, repair, and replace defective or worn parts, such as bearings, pistons, and gears
• Overhaul and test major components, such as engines, transmissions, hydraulics, and electrical systems
• Dissemble and reassemble equipment and components
• Responsible for complete and thorough documentation of diagnostics and repairs performed on work orders and on-time submittal of information
• May participate in Service EDUCATE Training programs required for the development of skills and knowledge
• Operates and maintains vehicles, tools, and equipment required to perform job responsibilities
• Maintains a clean work area and performs work in a neat and orderly fashion
• Follows all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments
• Maintains current knowledge of John Deere and competitive products

WORKING CONDITIONS :

Service Technicians usually work indoors in a noisy shop environment. They often lift heavy parts and tools, handle greasy and dirty equipment, and stand or lie in uncomfortable positions for extended periods of time.
