The Marketing Specialist plays a key role in developing and executing marketing strategies that enhance brand visibility and engagement. This position focuses on two primary areas: social media content creation (60%) and event planning and execution (40%). On the social media side, this role is responsible for developing creative content, with an emphasis on short-form video, across multiple platforms. The ideal candidate will strategically plan and produce diverse content aligned with the company’s marketing objectives. On the event side, the Marketing Specialist will oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of company-sponsored marketing events, including trade shows, conferences, webinars, customer appreciation events, and internal company functions. This role requires strategic oversight, project management expertise, and strong organizational skills to ensure seamless execution and impactful audience engagement.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement event strategies that align with the company’s marketing and business objectives.
  • Plan and execute all aspects of events, including logistics, budgeting, vendor management, and on-site coordination.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to create event marketing materials, including invitations, promotional campaigns, and post-event follow-ups.
  • Manage event registration processes and attendee communications to ensure a seamless experience.
  • Create and execute social media content strategies, with a focus on short-form video, to enhance brand engagement.
  • Monitor and analyze event and social media performance metrics to assess effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
  • Coordinate with Marketing Manager, internal teams, and external partners to secure speakers, sponsors, and exhibitors for events.
  • Negotiate contracts with vendors, venues, and other service providers to ensure cost-effective and high-quality event execution.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices to continuously enhance the quality and impact of events and social media initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies during event planning and execution.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Event Management, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in event planning, preferably within the B2B software or technology industry.
  • Proven ability to plan and execute events of varying scales and formats.
  • Strong project management skills and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with internal stakeholders, vendors, and clients.
  • Proficiency in event management software , social media platforms, and content creation tools.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce and knowledge of the trucking or logistics industry is a plus.
  • Familiarity with the Adobe Creative Suite is a plus
  • Creative problem-solving skills with a proactive and adaptable approach.
  • Ability to travel as required for event execution.
  • A portfolio of work or link(s) to work samples is required.
