Pay Rate: $15-16/hr. based on experience plus monthly bonus ($0- 300) after 90 days.
Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00am-4:30pm

The Medicaid Customer Service Representative will be responsible for:
- Answer incoming patient calls and questions, communicate with patients by telephone, dialer and written correspondence.
- Make outgoing phone calls to patients, county agencies, employers, etc. to expedite pending Medicaid applications.
- Work with the Social worker department in assisting with pending numbers for discharge, answering any questions in regard to Medicaid and/or Medicaid application status
- Assist patients in resolving billing issues if needed
- Guide eligible patients through the Medicaid application and/or charity process, assisting with applications as needed.
- Accurate and complete notations on all accounts worked.
- Daily use of the hospital systems and software programs.
- Abide by HIPAA rules and regulations to protect patient's privacy.
- Meet production goals (approvals, calls etc.) established by management on a monthly basis.

Requirements:Work Requirements:
- 7-year background check
- 1-3 years of Customer Service experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Proficient computer skills in Microsoft products: Outlook, Word and Excel.
- Typing speed of 30 WPM with excellent accuracy.
- Problem solving skills a plus
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
- Dialer experience a plus
- Ability to multi-task and good time management skills.
- Communicating effectively on the phone
