Pay Rate : $18-$20 / hour
Days and Time : 8 : 00am-4 : 30pm Monday thru Friday (this position does allow for some flexibility)

The Billing Specialist will be responsible for :
- Primary responsibility will be the billing and follow up on individual accounts assigned
- Manage the status of accounts and their balances, while identifying inconsistencies that may delay claim processing
- Make appropriate corrections to denied or rejected claims, with respect to individual payer guidelines to ensure timely claim resolution
- File appeals with payers as needed, with respect to individual payer guidelines to ensure timely claim resolution
- Contact payers using various communication methods to : verify the adjudication of a claim, verifying coverages and claim status
- Update multiple account receivable databases with new information and documentation of relevant follow up efforts with clean and reliable data
- Identify and post payments, debits and credits
- Ensure all department / and or client expectations are met
- Provide feedback to department and / or clients regarding possible solutions to any potential problems
- Takes responsibility and ownership for a problem, project or issue.
- Maintain high performance and composure under pressure, opposition or criticism.
- Productively focuses time and resources on activities to produce quality results.
- Other duties as assigned.
