The Opportunity
The Database Analyst (ETL Focus) plays a critical role in managing and optimizing data processes to support software solutions used by over 100,000 restaurant locations worldwide. This position focuses on ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes, ensuring data integrity, automation, and seamless integration across various platforms. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, detail-oriented, and experienced in working with large datasets and database technologies.
You’ll be part of a tech-driven, cloud-based environment, leveraging Azure and modern ETL tools to enhance data integration, automation, and process efficiency. Working within our collaborative DevOps team, you will support critical software solutions that drive profitability for our clients.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include gathering, importing, cleansing, and analyzing client data, ensuring seamless data ingestion without disrupting software operations. You will be assigned to one of our team focus areas - Data Management, New Development, or Automation—allowing you to develop expertise in a specific domain and contribute meaningfully to our data-driven solutions.
Who You’ll Work With
You will be based in our Tampa office, working in the DevOps Data Integration team and reporting to a Team Lead. Our Data Integration team is dedicated to enhancing the client experience by improving data processes and ensuring seamless integration with our software solutions.
Collaboration is key in this role. You will engage with teams from Software Development, Product Management, and Research & Development to automate data workflows in a hybrid-cloud environment. Additionally, you may work closely with our consulting team on data projects, guiding clients through onboarding and ongoing assignments.

What You’ll Do
- Monitor and manage automated processes to ensure seamless execution and promptly address any issues.
- Develop and analyze reports to verify data accuracy and detect anomalies.
- Troubleshoot IS Catalog - Level 1 system errors, researching issues, recommending solutions, escalating as needed, and executing jobs manually when necessary.
- Investigate and resolve data issues, ensuring consistency and integrity across platforms.
- Become an expert in assigned processes, providing insights and recommendations for optimization.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and automation.
- Design and develop ETL/ELT solutions (e.g., ADF, SSIS) following best practices in database design and data pipeline management.
- Analyze complex data sources to determine optimal transformation and loading methods.
- Maintain compliance with coding standards and development best practices.
- Document workflows, data structures, and business rules for clarity and consistency.
- Support system enhancements, including application upgrades and process optimizations.
- Assist with client onboarding, managing setup, configuration, and data integration.
- Collaborate across teams, working with consultants, analysts, and developers to streamline data workflows and resolve issues.
Skills and Qualifications
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for data accuracy and integrity.
- 2 years’ experience with Microsoft Azure PaaS, Azure Data Factory
- A solid sense of ownership and accountability for delivering high-quality results on time
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience with Microsoft SQL Server, T-SQL, SSIS, or equivalent ETL tools
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office 365 applications
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with both technical and non-technical teams
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks with shifting priorities
- Commitment to continuous learning and expanding your knowledge base
Preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems or a strongly affiliated discipline
- Previous experience in hospitality or retail
- Experience using Python, R and Power BI
