Position Summary:
The Direct Support Professional (DSP) provides high-quality, client-centered services to Rever Grand clients to assist them in leading dignified, independent lives in the comfort and safety of their own homes and the community in which they live. The DSP provides care specific to the client’s individual support plan (ISP) by supporting the client with their daily activities, goals, and desired outcomes.
Employment Status: Variable-hour, Non-exempt, Non-supervisory
Benefits: Medical, dental, vision package when minimum hours worked

Requirements:Requirements and Responsibilities:
- Be at least 18 years of age.
- Be legally eligible to work in the United States.
- Be free of convictions of founded allegations of abuse.
- Actively participate in developing and implementing plans to meet the needs of the individuals served.
- Complete all required annual training by the deadlines provided.
- Document daily activities and goals worked on with the client at the end of each shift.
- Reflect the values and mission statement of Rever Grand.
- Adhere to all policies and procedures set forth by Rever Grand.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Experience or sincere interest in working with adults or children with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities with a setting promoting community integration, normalization, and treatment of all persons with dignity and respect.
- Literacy and capability of understanding written and verbal orders.
- Ability to communicate with clients on their level.
- Ability to communicate with client representatives, case managers, administrative staff, and other appropriate individuals.
Education and Experience:
- Minimum of high school diploma or demonstrated equivalent.
- Experience as a Personal Support Worker (PSW) or caretaker is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
- Regularly stoop, bend, lift and carry at least fifty (50) pounds of weight without assistance when performing household duties, shopping, or assisting individuals served.
- Ability to lift and/or transfer physically challenged individuals who require such assistance to remain active and mobile while engaged in household or community activities.
- Regular periods of standing, walking, reaching, stretching may be required.
- Frequent communication verbally and electronically.
Other Requirements:
- Must pass and maintain background clearance as defined by Oregon State Background Regulations.
