We are looking for a qualified buyer who can work our first shift, which is Monday through Friday from 8 : 00 a.m. to 5 : 00 p.m.
In this role, you'll interact and coordinate with suppliers and customers, support product levels, and manage inventory levels.
- JOB SUMMARY :
- The Buyer's primary responsibility is end-to-end supply chain management for assigned value streams. Other responsibilities include supporting material / product-level revisions, interacting / coordinating with suppliers and customers on a variety of topics, and supporting other business functions as required.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
Serves as a point of contact for and liaison with sales, logistics, and manufacturing departments.Collaborates with these departments to establish schedules and plans that allocate available resources to serve client or customer needs best.Periodically compares current and anticipated orders with available raw materials inventory; uses judgment to anticipate demand for and acquire additional supplies as needed.Negotiates with outside supply vendors; ensures accurate and timely delivery of orders.Integrates sales orders with master schedule; coordinates availability of raw materials, supplies, equipment, and staff as needed to meet delivery dates.Place purchase orders with suppliers to procure production material as required by the forecast and the production schedule.Monitor the status of open purchase orders to ensure on-time delivery of all materials, including timely resolution, communication, and mitigation of future potential problems.Determine and establish optimal inventory levels based on the forecast, demand variation, and material lead times.Analyze production specifications and plant capacity data to determine manufacturing capacity and human resource requirements.Assist in planning and scheduling workflow for each department and operation according to previously established manufacturing sequences and lead times to meet customer requirements.Attend daily production meetings. Be prepared to discuss the status of orders, delivery, and any conflicts or potential issues with orders.Confer with department supervisors to determine the status of orders.Expedite customer orders and alter schedules to meet unforeseen conditions. Investigate and resolve scheduling problems, inventory errors, and job priorities. Coordinate customers’ shipping schedules.Work with Customers, Sales, Engineering, Planning, and Management to ensure 100% on-time deliveries.Prepare production reports, machine capacity reports, daily schedules, and shortage reports.Prepare a list of required materials, tools, and equipment.Coordinate material requirements between Purchasing and Manufacturing.AN EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER

Requirements
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION :
3 or more years of experience as a buyer / planner / material scheduler.A BS / BA in supply chain, procurement, business, and logistics is preferred.Experience in forecasting, MRP, transportation, supply chain, inventory management, and warehousing disciplines.Proficient with MS Office suite – particularly MS ExcelStrong sense of urgency & attention to detailExcellent organization, communication, and follow-up skillsAbility to self-direct and take constructive action in ambiguous situationsIQMS and APICS experience is a plus.Thorough understanding of the business and supply chain.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Proficient with production planning systems.Apply at our company website - https : / / www.revereplasticssystems.com / careers /
