What are the responsibilities and job description for the School Psychologist position at Revere Public School District?
Revere Public Schools is seeking full-time School Psychologists to complete psychological testing in accordance with special education regulations as well as provide direct service to meet the social and emotional needs of students with disabilities. Candidates should demonstrate knowledge of methods of assessment, learning processes, and instructional interventions to meet students’ needs. Strong clinical skills and a highly collaborative work ethic are essential to this role.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Conduct psychological assessments, interpret results, develop recommendations, and participate in Team meetings
- Provide individual and/or small group counseling for students with identified disabilities
- Collaborate with school staff around interventions and accommodations to students
- Provide consultation services to parents/caregivers as needed
Qualifications:
- Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education School Psychologist license.
- Excellent computer/technology skills with the ability to utilize various computer software and app programs.
- Committed to the vision of high expectations for achievement, equal access to high levels of instruction, the achievement of academic and linguistic proficiency for all students, and the closing of the opportunity gap
- High level of comfort working in a growth-focused coaching environment based on frequent observations, debriefs, action planning, and progress monitoring
- A self-reflective, active learner capable of interactive dialogue with all members of the school community.
- Strong foundation in student-centered pedagogy and culturally responsive teaching practices.
- Candidates must be flexible and collaborative and have well-established verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to share information and resources as appropriate, including strong written communication skills.
