The Paul Revere Innovation School is seeking a highly qualified Elementary Special Education Teacher dedicated to providing a superior education for all students. We are seeking teachers who are passionate and dedicated to bringing the curriculum to life for each student. We want our teachers to be excited to create a positive classroom environment that prioritizes student learning and social-emotional development. This assignment would begin in April and continue through the end of the school year in June 2025.

Duties include, but are not limited to, the following. Additions and modifications to these representative duties and responsibilities are under the purview of the Superintendent of Schools.
Prepare and deliver lesson plans with the ability to modify accordingly during the school year
Work directly with all school staff members
Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all students
Maintain accurate and complete records of students' progress and development
Facilitate Team meetings, IEP progress monitoring and reporting and other Special Education required regulations
Utilize research-based best practices in daily planning and classroom instruction
Manage student behavior in the classroom
Create a positive classroom environment to support learning for all students
Utilize school approved curricula that reflects the diverse educational, cultural, and linguistic backgrounds of the students
Implement school-wide culture expectations and norms
Communicate and meet with caregivers regarding the academic and social-emotional growth of their child
Incorporate technology skills into daily classroom practice to support learning
Participate in the planning and implementation of non-instructional activities, as needed
Collaborate and communicate effectively with colleagues
Perform other duties as assigned by the Principal or Superintendent
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in education or related field; Master's degree preferred
Valid Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education licensure in Mild / Moderate Disabilities (Grades PreK-8) and SEI Endorsement
High level of comfort working in a growth-focused coaching environment based on frequent observations, debriefs, action planning, and progress monitoring
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent computer / technology skills with the ability to utilize various computer software and app programs
Committed to the vision of high expectations for achievement, equal access to high levels of instruction, the achievement of academic and linguistic proficiency for all students, and the closing of the opportunity gap
A self-reflective, active learner capable of interactive dialogue with all members of the school community
Ability to properly manage confidential information
Able to supervise students of various ages in different school settings (playground, cafeteria, etc.)
Outstanding interpersonal skills, cultural sensitivity and respect for others with the ability to establish rapport with and relate to students, caregivers, and coworkers with respect, compassion, tact and understanding
Strong commitment to equity, inclusion, diversity, and anti-racist practices
