What are the responsibilities and job description for the Engineering Co-Op position at Revere?
POSITION SUMMARY / OBJECTIVE :
This position is responsible for learning the engineering and manufacturing process and developing appropriate skills in preparation for assuming an Engineering role. As an Engineering Co-Op, you will utilize engineering tools taught during your work terms to complete value-added engineering projects. You will develop new leadership and engineering skill sets in addition to applying the engineering fundamentals learned during the school terms. You will develop an understanding of Revere's production procedures, engineering, design, and safety procedures.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Develop an understanding of Revere's safety procedures, symbols, components, software, and manufacturers; production procedures; financial management and performance standards; testing; engineering; and design.
- Follow written procedures to install many types of electrical components including circuit breakers, wires, lights, and other electrical apparatus.
- Develop an understanding of the Control Systems Integrators Association's Best Practices and Benchmarks, and applicable codes and standards.
- Develop an understanding of project management.
- Review project drawings for accuracy and completeness.
- Develop skills to include design, programming, and project commissioning.
- Maintain project-related data.
- Prepare and deliver an end-of-term presentation to the company leadership team highlighting the stated objectives of the term, training received, projects completed, and lessons learned.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

POSITION TYPE / EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK :
This is a seasonal position, and business hours are Monday through Friday between the hours of 7 : 00 a.m. to 5 : 00 p.m. However, longer hours may be required.
