CAREGIVER

Do you have a heart of Gold? Do you love Seniors? Is there a place in your heart for someone else's grandparents? We are a unique Personal CareHome with 12 residents. We hire caregivers to help our residents in our home. We love our seniors and want the best care for them. If you want a change from the long halls and short staffed larger facilities, come see us!

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Must be able to speak, read and write in English
• Must have honesty and integrity
• Must have at least one year previous experience in care giving for the elderly or have a current CNA certificate
• Must not have a criminal record which would bar employment
• Must be able to tolerate a physical workload including standing or sitting for prolonged periods of time

Duties and Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety and well being of all residents at all times.
• In emergency situations, call ambulance or fire department as needed
• Perform personal assistance services for clients as directed by the manager, examples of which include:
• Assist in personal care such as lifting, turning, dressing, walking, bathing, changing and using the restroom – Always promote the maximum amount of independence from all residents at all times. Encourage them to do as much as possible for themselves safely.
• Clean all living areas, bathrooms, kitchen and dining areas, including sweeping, dusting, mopping and removal of trash at end of shift.
• Clean resident’s rooms and launder their belongings and sheets per schedule.
• Assist residents with their meals, and promote hydration daily.
• Communicate with immediate supervisor of changes in condition- Emotional, physical, or psychological changes

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
