Job Profile: We are seeking a skilled and proactive Paralegal to support Reconomy’s operations in the United States and Canada. The position reports to the EVP Comply, Americas and works closely with the Senior Leadership team for the Americas and senior managers within Reconomy.This role will focus on contract management (NDAs, MSAs, SOWs and other commercial agreements for our B2B business. The Paralegal will play a crucial role in ensuring reasonable risk management, compliance, data protection, supporting M&A activities, and working closely with local management and interacting with our legal and compliance teams in Germany and the UK.

Key Responsibilities:

• Contract Management: Draft, review, and manage NDAs, SOWs, and other contractual agreements in line with group policies and legal best practices.
• Legal Support: Provide legal assistance to all divisions and business units of Reconomy in the region, ensuring adherence to corporate governance and compliance standards.
• Corporate Housekeeping: Maintain corporate records, filings, and ensure regulatory compliance for Reconomy entities in North America.
• Liaison with General Counsel: Act as a key point of contact between local management and the General Counsel in Germany, collaborating with the global legal & compliance teams in UK (Group Headquarters) and Germany.
• Sourcing Strategy: Improve the sourcing and engagement strategy for external legal services in North America to optimize costs and efficiency.
• M&A and Integration: Support legal due diligence, documentation, and post-merger integration activities for acquisitions in the region.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Legal Studies or a related field. Paralegal Certification preferred.
• 7 to 10 years of relevant experience as a Paralegal, Projects Associate, or similar role in an international law firm or corporation
• Experience in contract management, corporate governance, writing/preparing a variety of legal documents, or providing legal support within a B2B environment.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. and/or Canadian corporate and contract law.
• Strong research skills with high attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently while coordinating with cross-functional teams.
• Proficiency in legal document management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Environmental law and risk management experience is an asset.
• Ability to travel internationally.
