The Operations Manager will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient execution of day-to-day operations and project delivery, while also supporting cross-functional teams and contributing to the overall success of the organization.
Job Responsibilities
Project Management Leadership:
- Develop, implement, and oversee project management best practices to ensure consultants effectively manage energy efficiency projects.
- Provide hands-on training and mentorship to consultants, enhancing their project management skills.
- Establish standardized processes for tracking project progress, identifying risks, and ensuring timely delivery.
- Implement tools and frameworks to improve project visibility and accountability across teams.
- Manage and coordinate daily operations to ensure efficiency and alignment with company objectives.
- Monitor key operational metrics and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Work closely with leadership to align operational goals with strategic business objectives.
- Organize and maintain schedules for internal teams, client meetings, and project deadlines.
- Ensure resource availability and allocation for multiple simultaneous projects.
- Proactively identify scheduling conflicts and implement solutions to mitigate delays.
- Identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies within existing processes and develop solutions to optimize workflow.
- Establish and document standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency and scalability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement new tools and methodologies that drive operational excellence.
- Maintain accurate records, databases, and operational logs, ensuring data integrity and accessibility.
- Develop and present reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure project and operational success.
- Foster a culture of transparency and collaboration by maintaining open communication channels.
- Address operational challenges and provide timely resolutions to support project success.
- Oversee "up-level" plans to support the professional growth and development of employees.
- Foster a continuous learning environment and encourage process ownership among team members.
- Ideally located in NJ, NY, CT, PA or nearby area.
- Salary starting is a minimum of $95,000-$130,000 per year but negotiable, and will be commensurate with experience, credentials and qualifications; re-evaluated annually based on performance.

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field preferred.
- 8 years of experience in an operational or administrative role.
- Proven experience in operations management, project management, or process improvement roles.
- Strong background in project management methodologies and tools (PMP certification preferred).
- Excellent leadership, coaching, and team development skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a data-driven mindset.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills with keen attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Slack, and project management software (Monday and SalesForce)
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with energy efficiency, sustainability, or related industries is a plus.
