Role:
To assist the Branch Manager in managing, coordinating, and ensuring that the member needs are being met through the tellers and MSR's. Ensure that member service is fast, courteous, and accurate. Responds to problems and aids in the training process.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:

Assist in the operation of branch tellers and MSR's. Verifies currency and coin to/from the Federal Reserve. Monitors cash dispense machines. Assist in ATM balancing. Keeps records of teller vaults and drawers. Maintains vault security and balancing

Assist in training and developing branch MSR's and tellers. Assist Manager with performance reviews. Assist members and tellers with questions and problems. Ensures compliance to rules, regulations, and Credit Union policies relating to teller/MSR functions.

Approves/denies loans within Credit Union policies and guidelines.

Performs a variety of miscellaneous duties including typing, filing, computer input, answering telephone and responsible for balancing license stickers/real estate tax.

Identifies areas where existing Credit Union programs and/or procedures can be improved and/or enhanced.

Maintains activity and productivity reports regarding branch operations.

Performs other duties as identified from time to time.

Ensure adequate staffing of personnel in order to control lobby traffic and member volume.

To develop and improve the knowledge and skills of assigned teller/MSR's.
4.
Ensure that tellers/MSR's function at a high level in regard to speed, accuracy, knowledge and courtesy. Provide assistance to employees when necessary.
5.
Decision loans within Credit Union lending guidelines.
6.
To keep management informed of operational issues affecting member service.
7.
To provide training development, support and leadership for everyone in the department.
8.
Keep up to date with necessary and laws and regulations in order to provide staff with appropriate information and training.
9.
To maintain a professional appearance and atmosphere for the department.
10.
to hire, direct and motivate a highly-qualified staff sufficient to meeting the daily operational needs of the department.
Knowledge and Skills:
Experience:
Six months to two years of similar or related experience.
Education:
A high school education or GED.
Interpersonal Skills:
A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required, in addition to normal courtesy and tact. Work involves extensive personal contact with others and/or is usually of a personal or sensitive nature. Work may involve motivating or influencing others. Outside contacts become important and fostering sound relationships with other entities (companies and/or individuals) becomes necessary.
