The Kitchen Aid at Revive supports the day-to-day operations of the food services program by assisting with food preparation, meal service, and kitchen cleanliness. This role ensures that nutritious meals are served in a clean, safe, and welcoming environment, supporting Revive’s mission of compassionate care for individuals overcoming substance use and mental health challenges.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve meals and snacks for clients and staff.
- Set up, serve, and clean up during meal periods according to schedule.
- Wash dishes, utensils, cookware, and food preparation areas.
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen, dining areas, and storage spaces in accordance with food safety standards.
- Monitor food and supply inventory and alert supervisor when items need restocking.
- Receive, unpack, and properly store food deliveries.
- Label and date food items; rotate stock using FIFO (first in, first out) practices.
- Follow proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures at all times.
- Maintain respectful and professional interactions with clients and staff.
- Adhere to HIPAA and confidentiality guidelines when working in client spaces.
- Other duties as assigned.
Supervisory:
This position does not oversee staff.
Qualifications:

Education/Experience
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Prior food service or kitchen experience is a plus but not required.
Familiarity with basic kitchen equipment and food safety practices preferred.
Formal food safety training a plus.

Work Environment:
The work is typically performed in a kitchen environment with moderate noise level and exposure to various temperature levels. Frequent contact with patients is required.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment including standing, sitting, climbing stairs and/or walking throughout the shift.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds regularly and 50 pounds on occasion.
