Client Supply Chain has an exciting opportunity for an R&D Material Planning position. The Material Planner will be responsible for procurement and supply of Engineering materials for use spread across various build locations. There are opportunities to communicate, and problem solve with cross functional teams including other supply chain team members, production, quality, engineering, third party logistics and procurement. Communication may be direct with supply base and / or through corporate conference calls. Material planners are also responsible for material inventory levels as it moves through the R&D product cycle.
Responsibilities
- Plans, schedules, and monitors the movement of material throughout the Procurement process.
- Determines material requirements from Engineering.
- Coordinates the efficient movement of materials with purchasing, production, and engineering
- Responsible for procurement business system data input and integrity; work with bill of materials and parts / commodities numbers in supply chain management or other enterprise-wide systems
