Job Description
Position: Strength Coach Reports to: Director of Sports Performance
Job Summary
Responsible for delivering a high quality training session and class experience for all members as well as the growth and improvement of the strength and conditioning program at REVO.
Primary Responsibilities
Training session/Class Delivery
- Reliable, on time, and lead the room in a professional and engaging manner while offering individualized feedback and coaching to each client.
- Demonstrate ongoing competency of movement standards and ability to skillfully coach clients while demonstrating proper movement quality according to REVO standards.
- Build Community- REVO is not just a gym it is a community. Actively take responsibility to help promote and participate in community events, social media and promotion events.
- Maintain Gym Cleanliness. Clean up after sessions and sanitize equipment
- Represent the REVO Brand- Proudly represent the team both inside and outside of REVO and at special events
- Assess Clients- Able to identify movement dysfunction and make appropriate referrals to the in-house care team
- Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team to ensure each client is provided with the most appropriate services to keep them injury and pain free
- Be Over Prepared- Study and comprehend all exercises and class programming prior to teaching a class
- Responsible for day-to-day facility operations and cleanliness
- Arrive punctually and in proper athletic attire for all classes
Personal Development
- REVO coaches are passionate about their own individual training and are required to complete the REVO onboarding process, maintain current certifications, and pursue Quarterly CEU goals
- Utilize continuing education seminars and internal education resources such as in house workshops and inservices to hone skills, and collaborate with peers to stay on the cutting edge in the industry on a quarterly basis
- Maintain excellent communication with management as well as attend all REVO meetings when requested
- Welcome feedback and dialogue around performance and work to build on strengths/knowledge
Qualifications
- Bachelor in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Human Kinetics OR a certified Athletic Trainer OR Nationally accredited personal trainer or strength coach certification. Preferred: NSCA, NASM, ACSM) Minimum 3 years of experience in the field
- Minimum 2 years experience instructing group classes
- Additional specialty certifications such as Mentorships, USA Triathlon, USA Weightlifting, StrongFirst, etc. are preferred.
- Effective interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal
- Current First Aid/CPR/AED certification
