Position Summary
The Sales Manager will oversee and guide the sales department, ensuring that goals are met, relationships are nurtured, and new opportunities are identified. This role requires a strong leader who can balance strategy and execution, bringing a proactive approach to driving the company’s sales efforts in the competitive event production industry, while also providing mentorship and guidance to event producers.
Key Responsibilities
- Team Leadership: Manage, mentor, and inspire the sales team to achieve individual and collective targets.
- Strategy Development: Develop and implement sales strategies to increase revenue, market share, and client retention.
- Creative Direction and Development: Be Bold, Be Creative, Think Big! Collaborate with the sales team, the fabrication team and project management to provide creative input for event concepts, ensuring alignment with client needs and company standards.
- Client Relationships: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, partnerships, and markets.
- Pipeline Management: Oversee the sales pipeline, tracking leads, opportunities, and conversions.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the fabrication, production, and logistics teams to ensure client needs are met and events are executed flawlessly.
- Reporting: Analyze sales data, prepare reports, and present results and forecasts to the executive team.
- Market Trends: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments.
- Problem Solving: Address challenges promptly and effectively, finding solutions that drive results.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (preferred).
- 5 years of experience in sales, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Proficiency with Apple products and task management software (e.g., Monday.com, or similar tools).
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- MUST have experience in event production or a related industry .
- Ability to lead by example and foster a positive team culture.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities.
- Willingness to travel for client meetings and industry events as required.
