About Us:
We are a division of an Award-Winning dry-mix shotcrete/gunite and design firm of 20 years looking for pool plaster crew members to join our interior finish installation team. We are experiencing unprecedented growth and are in need of additional crew members to handle the ever-growing needs of our customers.
Plaster Crew Member Job Description:
The responsibility of this position is to fully learn and embrace the role of mixing and running the pump/mixer machines that mix and deliver the interior finishes we install in residential and commercial pools.
Teamwork is a priority in this position, and the crew will work as a unit to ensure timely delivery and quality application of all interior finishes for our clients. Candidates must be willing to learn every aspect of our processes, i.e. mixing the material and troweling or "finishing" the plaster surface as well as pool renovations and more.
Plaster Finisher/Mixer Responsibilities:
- Mixers are required to work Monday through Friday and occasional Saturdays. Some overnight stays are required, with per diem provided for food and company provides hotel and transportation in company vehicles.
- Arrive at our facility at the appointed time ready to start your shift. Arrival times will vary based on location of the plaster job.
- Load truck for next day to prepared for early departure
- Operate fork lift to load and unload materials for jobs
- Appropriately represent company on job sites and while transporting product on public streets and highways; includes employees wearing company provided uniform while on a jobsite at all times.
- At the site, the entire crew must work together to completely cover the pool decking to protect it during pool finish application and thoroughly clean the site before leaving
- Each crew member is encouraged to proactively contribute to the successful completion of the interior finish application. We discourage standing around waiting for direction. Self-starters are rewarded with additional opportunities for increasing their earnings.
- Daily responsibilities may vary during training, and can vary depending on weather.
- At the shop, the crew will ensure each day that the truck is cleaned and loaded for the next day. Thorough truck cleaning will be performed weekly.
Plaster Crew Member Physical Demands
- Must be able to climb in and out of the truck and/or pool many times a day
- Must be able to lift 100 lbs regularly (bags of cement weigh 94lbs)
- Must be able to stand for approximately 6-8 hours per shift
Required Work Experience:
- Basic construction experience highly preferred for all crew members but is not required.
- Class A or B CDL is required.
Pay is bi-weekly, based on accrual of each daily job. This will be discussed further during interview.
