Accountant/Bookkeeper

Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in corporate accounting and be proficient in various accounting software, including Sage. This role involves managing accounts receivable, preparing journal entries, and ensuring the accuracy of financial records. The Accountant will play a crucial role in maintaining the integrity of the general ledger and supporting tax-related activities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Manage accounts receivable processes, including invoicing and collections.
• Maintain the general ledger by reconciling accounts and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
• Assist in corporate accounting functions, including month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Support tax preparation activities by gathering necessary documentation and ensuring compliance with tax regulations.
• Collaborate with internal teams to provide financial insights and support business decision-making.
• Utilize accounting software effectively to streamline processes and improve accuracy.
• Conduct regular audits of financial data to identify discrepancies and implement corrective actions as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred.
• Proven experience in public accounting or corporate accounting roles.
• Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting principles and practices.
• Proficiency in accounting software, particularly Sage or similar platforms.
• Familiarity with tax regulations and compliance requirements is a plus.
• Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey financial information.
