Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Machine Operator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and overseeing machinery in a manufacturing setting, ensuring products are produced efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires advanced technical skills, leadership capabilities, and a deep understanding of machine operations and maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain complex machinery in accordance with standard operating procedures.
- Monitor machine performance and troubleshoot advanced issues as they arise.
- Perform and oversee routine maintenance and cleaning of machines to ensure optimal performance.
- Inspect finished products for quality assurance and adherence to specifications.
- Lead and train junior machine operators, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Follow and enforce safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
- Record production data and complete relevant documentation accurately.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to optimize production processes.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to the supervisor and assist in the resolution.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to process enhancements.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a machine operator or in a similar role.
- Advanced understanding of machinery operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents, blueprints, and manuals.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Good physical condition and the ability to stand for extended periods.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime if needed.
