What are the responsibilities and job description for the Parts Buyer (Parts Coordinator) position at Revolution Search Group?
Shift: Monday-Friday 7am-3pm
- Obtain quotations from approved and potential suppliers as required to meet requirements of production, R&D, and other department/office activities if applicable. All quotations are to include full cost breakdowns.
- Select and order merchandise, materials, gages/fixtures, goods, supplies and services, as requested by requisitions by making selection based upon reliability of the supplier, cost, delivery date and quality. Cultivate and maintain a supply base capable of meeting the Corporation’s needs in these areas.
- Take the lead for supplier selection and for the analysis of potential suppliers to become and remain knowledgeable of capabilities and developments in certain assigned investment/MRO commodities.
- Issue blanket orders and spot buys as received to support Trilliant Food and Nutrition production, quality, and other department/office activities if applicable. Maintain up-to-date information regarding all pricing.
- Conduct supplier delivery reviews to verify contract details and ensure delivery of material on the required dates.
- Keep records pertaining to items purchased, cost, delivery, product performance and inventories to prepare various reports such as; work orders, requisitions, cost savings, etc.
- Manage and negotiate purchase cost to budget (targets) and justify variance to budget. Develop business strategies and plans to achieve budget (targets).
- Work with the maintenance and suppliers to maintain appropriate tool crib inventory as applicable.
- Maintain timely control of orders, amendments, shipping notices, and other documents to assure accurate retention of records.
- Complete projects and prepare reports and/or presentations, etc., as requested by the Management.
- Travel as required.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- inventory management experience
- Experience working with a CMMS program
- Knowledge of production and procurement policies and procedures.
- Skills in interpersonal relations and negotiating techniques.
- Effective professional communications skills (oral and written), and problem solving skills.
- Possess mechanical skills and ability to read blueprints and designated product drawings.
- Knowledgeable and proficient with Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.
- Experienced with OSHA, GMP, SQF, HACCP or other quality, food and human safety programs.
- Adhere to all Food Safety, Safety, GMP and Quality policies and procedures, reporting any nonconformity
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and effectively manage projects and manage change.
