Overview: The Assistant Manager is a key leadership role at Revolution Soccer Complex, responsible for driving business growth, managing operations, and ensuring exceptional customer service. This position involves significant outreach and the management of the entire sales process, from lead generation to conversion, while also overseeing two shifts per week to ensure smooth operational execution. The Assistant Manager works closely with the General Manager and other department leaders to achieve organizational goals and foster a customer-centric environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Business Growth & Development
- Design, implement, and manage the entire sales process, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Develop innovative lead generation strategies to promote leagues, programs (RevTots, RevKids, Revolution Academy, DD1Q, Camps & Clinics), and field rentals.
- Conduct significant outreach efforts to engage new customers and strengthen partnerships with schools, local organizations, and community groups.
- Drive customer retention by building strong relationships and achieving retention rate targets for leagues and supplemental training programs.
- Collaborate with the General Manager to execute targeted marketing campaigns and promotions.
2. Operational Oversight
- Manage two shifts per week to oversee operations, field readiness, and customer satisfaction.
- Conduct pre-shift preparations and inspections to ensure a seamless transition to evening operations.
- Address on-site operational challenges and provide support to the Lead Player Experience Specialist.
- Perform field and facility inspections to uphold safety and cleanliness standards.
3. Performance Metrics & Accountability
- Meet monthly targets for outreach, new registrations, and customer retention.
- Track and analyze sales and customer engagement metrics using CRM tools and Monday.com boards.
- Provide detailed weekly and monthly reports on outreach efforts, registrations, and revenue growth.
- Continuously review and refine sales and outreach processes for improved efficiency and conversion rates.
4. Team Collaboration & Leadership
- Mentor and support front desk staff and Player Experience Specialists to ensure high-quality customer service and operational excellence.
- Collaborate with the Academy Director to oversee program scheduling, referee management, and league administration.
- Partner with the Lead Player Experience Specialist and General Manager to align day and evening shift goals.
Qualifications & Experience
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sports Management, Marketing, or a related field is preferred. Equivalent work experience will be considered.
- Experience:
- 2-3 years of experience in sales, business development, or operations, ideally within the sports or service industry.
- Proven track record of managing sales pipelines, generating leads, and achieving revenue targets.
- Experience in managing teams and leading customer-facing operations.
- Skills:
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Proficiency in CRM tools (e.g., Monday.com, Salesforce) and scheduling platforms.
- Ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent problem-solving and organizational abilities.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is highly desirable.
- Knowledge: Understanding of soccer and youth sports programming is a strong asset.
Schedule
- Full-time position requiring flexibility for business and operational needs.
- The role will include evening and weekend shifts, with non-traditional hours to support leagues, tournaments, and customer engagement initiatives.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base Salary between $40,000 and $45,000 plus Bonus Opportunities
