Position Summary :
We're seeking a Software Technical Program Manager (TPM) who will be responsible for the development, verification, and maintenance of critical software systems that operate a key spacecraft component. You will be overseeing all aspects of the flight software development lifecycle from requirements gathering to launch and mission operations, ensuring the software meets stringent quality standards and reliability requirements within tight timelines and budget constraints. You will be working in a highly collaborative environment across multiple sub-contractors and disciplines
The position is full-time, on-site in Boston / Maryland, or remote, and available to be filled immediately.
Responsibilities :
- Technical Leadership :
- Responsibility for the overall flight software system architecture, including software components and interfaces.
- Leadership and oversight of the design, development, and implementation of complex real-time embedded software for spacecraft systems in conjunction with subcontractors.
- Overseeing code reviews, ensuring adherence to coding standards and best practices.
- Requirements Management :
- Decomposition of system requirements and translation into detailed software requirements specifications.
- Managing requirement traceability throughout the development process.
- Verification and Validation :
- Oversight of the development of comprehensive test plans and procedures for flight software verification and validation.
- Oversight of the execution of software tests in simulated environments and on hardware.
- Analysis of test results, identifying and resolving defects.
- Mission Operations Support :
- Collaborating with mission operations teams to ensure seamless integration of flight software with ground systems.
- Providing support for flight software updates and anomaly resolution during mission operations.
