Loan Specialist I (Lending Specialist)
Candidates local to St. Petersburg, FL area only
Contract: 6 months
Opportunity for extension or conversion based on attendance and performance.
Will work onsite Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, and remote on Mondays and Fridays - 8 AM- 5 PM or 8:30 AM- 5:30 PM.
Rate: $23/hour
Experience with Encompass software is a huge plus- department will be transitioning to Encompass in January
**Must have 1-2 years of experience processing HNW (High Net Worth - (USD)1MM ) loans**
**Experience with Mortgage Cadence POS system background preferred**
**Must be articulate and well-spoken with strong customer service background**
Main Duties:
Obtains required third party loan documentation and may process less complex loan applications.
Orders third party services.
Verifies loan files and supporting documents for accuracy and completeness.
Follows up on missing documentation.
Ensures all documentation is completed within a timely manner by the deadline.
Prepares and compiles documents for review and approval.
Will prepare and review disclosures for accuracy.
May perform basic loan calculations.
Must be able to demonstrate quality level in line with internal compliance audits.
Interact with mortgage consultants and third-party vendors.
Skills:
Very professional
1-2 years of retail mortgage loan processing experience.
Experience managing a pipeline of at between 40-50 loans at a time.
Understanding of TRID Regulatory Guidelines.
Exceptional customer service skills.
Technical and/or organizational skills required.
Must have experience using Excel and SharePoint Clear.
Professional written and oral communications skills for internal and external partners.
Ability to multi-task within a fast-paced environment
Loan processing and/or closing experience is preferred.
Education: Minimum of High School Diploma or GED
