Role & Responsibilities
The Systems Analyst will play a critical role in the Financial Books and Records (FB&R) Transformation initiative, supporting the Client transition to the Florida PALM (Planning, Accounting, and Ledger Management) system. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with strong analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills to manage the transition of Client financial processes to the new statewide ledger platform.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop current and future state process maps of the Client's financial operations to identify and implement process efficiencies.
- Conduct a comprehensive analysis of the Client’s Budget processes.
- Support the migration of financial data to the new system, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
- Identify the change impact of current to future Chart of Account (COA) structure related to all budget processes.
- Design, develop and code the financial process utilizing databases, excel, and SQL.
- Develop and implement new Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for financial operations.
- Develop and execute test plans to validate system functionality and data accuracy.
- Collaborate with the Florida PALM Project Team and Client stakeholders to ensure successful transition.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Information Systems or related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in systems analysis or financial reporting.
- Demonstrated Advanced Excel and Access Skills.
- Demonstrated process and data mapping experience.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in financial systems and data analysis tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Oracle or Transformation Implementations.
- Power Query and PowerPivot is a plus.
- Process modeling software such as IBM Blueworks or Visio.
