The Role
We’re looking for a motivated and detail-oriented People Operations Intern to support our HR and People teams in creating an exceptional employee experience. You'll get hands-on experience in various areas of People Ops, from recruitment coordination and onboarding to employee engagement and HR systems support.
This is a 90-day internship that will begin on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, and will last to August 29, 2025.
*This is a hybrid role that requires that you work 15 to 20 hours per week from our HQ in Tempe, Arizona, preferably Tuesday through Thursday.
Please note that the following list of responsibilities is exhaustive and includes tasks that you may be asked to perform. You would not be required to execute on all of these tasks at one time, and a prioritized list will be issued to you.
\n- Assist with administrative duties related to People Ops projects included but not limited to: taking notes for meetings, creating simple documentation, scheduling meetings, assisting with follow-up on administrative items as needed.
- Assist with onboarding tasks such as equipment provisioning requests
- Assist the People Ops team with documentation organization and file cleanup
- Assist with offboarding logistics, including equipment collection and access removal while maintaining professional parameters of employee communications post exit and expectations
- Assist People Ops team with new hires, including desk setup/selection and swag
- Assist with new hire badge access (suite and building)
- Shadow People Ops team to learn best practices for onboarding, employee info management and benefits operations
- Create new hire one-pagers
- Assist with supporting employee engagement programs
- Assist with current and new hire communications on company announcements, events and updates
- Assist with tracking and reordering branded swag and promotional items and ship items when necessary
- Handle incoming/outgoing mail and package deliveries, including collecting documents and packages and preparing labels for outgoing shipment
- Assist with meeting room usage and troubleshoot scheduling conflicts
- Assist with reserving the 3rd floor and occasionally the outdoor space for Monthly All Hands and other events as needed/requested through the Angus System
- Plan and schedule employee engagement events such as happy hours, offsites, lunches, celebrations, and volunteer activities
- Assist with maintaining a clean, safe, and organized physical office space, including:
- Organize and manage office supplies, snacks, and pantry inventory
- Assist in coordination of office repairs and maintenance with landlords or vendors
- Assist in management of office equipment like printers, standing desks, chairs, TVs, and other machines at the office
- Assist with vendor relationships for cleaning, catering, internet, and security
- Maintain cleanliness standards and office sanitization supplies
- Other People Ops and administrative tasks as outlined by the senior People Ops representatives
- Currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, or a related field
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Highly organized with attention to detail
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism
- Experience with G-Suite/Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Calendar) or with MS Office (email, calendar, Teams)
- A “let’s get it done” attitude with a proactive attitude and eagerness to learn
- Must be able to work from the office at least two days per week
- Must be able to work up to 20 hours a week, scheduled to be determined by leader
- Experience with HRIS systems (like Rippling, JustWorks, or UKG)
- Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS ) (like Lever, Greenhouse, or Ashby)
- Real-world experience in Project Management, People Operations, and Human Resources (HR)
- Exposure to the full employee lifecycle
