Looking for a Carpenter Assistant - Mobile Position

In this position, you will provide essential support to our carpenters in performing various tasks related to construction, renovations, and repairs at different mobile job sites. Your primary responsibility will be to assist the carpenter in ensuring the smooth execution of projects while maintaining a high standard of craftsmanship. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a mobile capacity.

Responsibilities:

• Assist carpenters in performing construction, renovation, and repair tasks
• Help with the setup and dismantling of tools and equipment needed for carpentry projects, ensuring their proper functionality and safety.
• Safely handle and transport construction materials, tools, and equipment to and from job sites.
• Assist in the preparation of work areas, including clearing debris, setting up barriers, and protecting surfaces to prevent damage.
• Aid in measuring, cutting, and shaping wood and other materials according to project requirements.
• Assist in assembling, installing, and repairing structures, fixtures, furniture, cabinets, and other carpentry components.
• Support carpenters in performing tasks such as framing, roofing, flooring, drywall installation, and finishing work.
• Follow all safety protocols and adhere to building codes and regulations while performing carpentry tasks.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work van and equipment, ensuring everything is properly stored and maintained.
• Communicate effectively with team members, clients, and supervisors to coordinate work schedules, report progress, and address any concerns or issues.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience as a carpenter assistant or related field is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of carpentry tools, equipment, and techniques.
• Familiarity with building codes and regulations related to carpentry work.
• Ability to work independently and follow instructions from a carpenter.
• Strong physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects and work in various environments.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
• Flexibility to travel to different job sites and work outside regular business hours when needed.
• Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment for yourself, team members, and clients.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
