Job Summary:
To develop and manage the production schedule for manufacturing of research reagents, chemicals, and research consumables in a fast-paced environment in a way that utilizes available forecast information to balance inventory, scrap and customer service level needs, while effectively utilizing lab resources.

To develop and manage the production schedule for manufacturing of research reagents, chemicals, and research consumables in a fast-paced environment in a way that utilizes available forecast information to balance inventory, scrap and customer service level needs, while effectively utilizing lab resources.
Responsibilities:
- Utilize ERP system, (SAP and SAP/APO) to develop near term and long term production plans.
- Utilize SAP/APO to maintain forecast performance.
- Utilize SAP and SAP/APO to maintain proper stock levels in both local and international distribution sites.
- Work with manufacturing to maintain parity between costing and BOM/Routing changes
- To develop initiatives to improve inventory, scrap and margin performance. Must work with Product Management to align build schedule with Forecast Must work with Product Management to align build schedule with New Product Introductions and margin commitments.
- Must work closely with the sales team to expedite and capitalize on fast-moving opportunities.
- Must work with both domestic and international Customer Service groups to provide timely stocking updates
- Must work with both domestic and international Customer Service groups to resolve order-specific issues.
- In addition to a firm understanding of fundamental planning concepts, the position requires strong analytical and computer skills, including the ability to analyze data and structure reports
- Maybe cross training into other areas of planning/procurement,
- Will require extensive travel to our other sites in Hopkinton, MA.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 2 years of experience of production planning experience.
- Associate degree
- 4 years of experience of production planning experience.
- High school diploma or GED
- 6 years of experience of production planning experience.
- 2 years of experience using advanced ERP system (SAP experience strongly preferred)
- APICS or similar certification strongly preferred
- High level of skill using Excel and its related data tools.
- Proficient in PowerPoint
- Proficient in Word
- Access experiences a plus.
