Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medication Technician to join our healthcare team.
As a Medication Technician, you will be responsible for administering medications to patients. Your attention to detail and commitment to patient care will be essential in ensuring the safe and effective delivery of medications. Duties: - Administer medications to patients as prescribed by healthcare professionals - Monitor patients for any adverse reactions or side effects from medications - Document medication administration and any observed changes in patient condition - Assist with medication inventory management and ordering supplies as needed - Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure comprehensive patient care - Provide support and assistance with activities of daily living as necessary - Adhere to all HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality - Assist with catheter care as required - Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records Skills: - Proficient in taking vital signs and accurately documenting them - Solid understanding of human anatomy and common medical conditions - Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and patient privacy practices - Ability to maintain accurate medical records and attention to detail - Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written - Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care - Previous experience in caregiving or hospice care is a plus If you are passionate about providing exceptional patient care, have a strong attention to detail, and possess the necessary skills, we would love to hear from you. Applicant must be licensed through DHS 2600 or 2800 chapter.
