About The Role
The Operations Manager (OM) is responsible for all activities of the assigned Material Processing Facility (MPF) including but not limited to management of wastewater treatment, solid waste processing, shredding, transportation, and industrial services. The OM is accountable for the profitability and efficiency of all facility operations while maintaining a safe and compliant workplace. Additionally, the Operations manager is expected to provide strong servant leadership to employees while maximizing operational efficiencies and minimizing risk.

About The Role

The OM is accountable for the profitability and efficiency of all facility operations while maintaining a safe and compliant workplace. Additionally, the Operations manager is expected to provide strong servant leadership to employees while maximizing operational efficiencies and minimizing risk.
Responsibilities

- Set and clearly communicate expectations. Plan, organize, staff, direct and control facility operations.
- Ability to demonstrate how your actions support Reworld Values and Behaviors, including Safe and Inclusive Workplace, Delivering Results through Trust and Building Breakthrough Capabilities.
- Collaborate with the commercial team to price projects competitively.
- Coordinate and communicate all phases of operations including receiving and shipping loads, processing materials, and laboratory discharge compliance.
- Ensure preventative maintenance requirements are met for mobile equipment, processing equipment and transportation assets.
- Coordinate with our other Reworld CES locations daily to provide support to our sales team, operations, and the needs of our clients.
- Work with regulators to ensure compliance while completing required reporting.
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the facility financials, including P&Ls, Forecasts, and Pulse meetings. Participate in monthly MBRs when required.
- Develop your bench by attracting, hiring, training, promoting, and retaining employees.
- Provide employees performance feedback through informal counseling and the structured review process.
- Pursue continuous improvement by analyzing budgets, sales, and activity reports, and metrics to identify where program improvements can be made.
- Assist in pursuing all unidentified facility growth opportunities and develop methods and solutions that make them feasible.
- Oversee the shredding and loading/unloading operations of our alternate fuel process. Coordinate scheduling of both incoming and outgoing material.
- High School Diploma / GED required.
- Valid state Driver’s License
- 5 years of multi-disciplined management experience
- 2-3 years ES/Waste experience
- Extensive leadership and team building skills.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, NetSuite, UKG, Ideagen, Outlook and other Reworld applications.
- Ability to demonstrate how your actions support Reworld Values and Behaviors, including Safe and Inclusive Workplace, Delivering Results through Trust and Building Breakthrough Capabilities.
- Ability to analyze information and suggest improvements.
- Demonstrated diligence and time management skills.
- Background in wastewater treatment, laboratory analysis, regulatory requirements is preferred.
- Knowledge of hazardous, non-hazardous, and universal waste is beneficial.
- Frequently lifts or moves up to 25 pounds and occasionally lifts or moves up to 50 pounds.
- Position requires working near and around operating mechanical parts and mobile equipment and is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and vibrations.
- Tolerate heights, high temperatures, and work outside.
- Ability to wear required PPE for the job and the assigned task.
