Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Audiologist or Hearing Aid Specialist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in audiology and a passion for providing exceptional patient care. Your expertise will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for individuals experiencing auditory challenges. Travel daily to 13 HSU departments within 50 miles of our Oshkosh clinic.
Duties
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to evaluate hearing.
- Utilize advanced diagnostic tools and techniques to identify auditory disorders.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient assessment results.
- Provide counseling and education to patients regarding hearing loss and treatment options.
- Fit and dispense hearing aids and other assistive listening devices.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain accurate patient records, including coding and documentation of medical terminology.
- Stay current with advancements in audiology practices and occupational health standards.
Requirements
- Audiologist or Hearing Aid Specialist
- Knowledge of anatomy and physiology related to the auditory system.
- Strong patient service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations.
- Familiarity with coding practices related to audiology services is a plus.
- Ability to perform detailed patient assessments using various audiometric tests.
