Job Summary:
The Director Business Development is responsible for developing and executing sales strategies in assigned markets. This includes staff management, leadership, and ensuring maximum profitability and growth alignment with company vision and values.
Main Responsibilities:
- Maintain a high-performing sales team by providing continuous training on products and services.
- Partner with Region leaders to establish expansion strategies for the customer base in designated marketing areas.
- Achieve specified sales and gross margin goals while increasing market share with existing customers and growing new and active customers.
- Ensure accurate and timely sales forecasting.
- Motivate the sales team to improve performance and customer interactions, contributing to company sales growth.
- Identify new business opportunities and executive-level partnering relationships.
- Provide branches with support in meeting sales plan objectives and reviewing report cards.
- Assist with product and technical support, making joint sales calls on key, target, and new customers.
- Develop customer and Branch Training programs.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- 8 years of sales, business development, or related experience.
- Previous management or supervisory experience required.
- Experience selling electrical products preferred.
- Ability to motivate teams, cultivate internal and external relationships, hire, train, and retain top sales professionals.
- Familiarity with Windows and Microsoft Office software.
Working Conditions:
This role requires occasional exposure to unpleasant environments and frequent travel to offsite locations.
