IT Manager

Rexing Companies is a family-owned supply chain and logistics provider headquartered in Evansville, Indiana. As we continue to evolve, we are seeking a skilled IT Manager to join our team, filling a key role due to an upcoming retirement.

This position will be responsible for the implementation, maintenance, and support of Rexing Companies' IT infrastructure, including servers, storage, virtualization, Active Directory, and Microsoft Office 365. Additionally, the role will provide end-user support, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, and ensure system security and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Create and update network security protocols
• Maintain the networking hardware (servers and network-specific systems) to minimize downtime and ensure responsiveness
• Drive and manage antivirus software systems
• Oversee IT hardware and supplies purchases, while maintaining equipment inventories and evaluating new equipment and techniques
• Install, repair, and maintain office hardware, software components, and wireless networks
• Provide incident resolution via phone, remote tools, email, and in-person.
• Prioritize and provide support to the information technology infrastructure high-quality for all employees with an emphasis on issue resolution and quality.
• Assists in the maintenance of system ID’s and security permissions for CRM software, SharePoint, and all related system platforms to ensure system integrity.
• Setup and support for new business system hardware and software needs including desktop workstations, laptops, printers, and related hardware
• Supports the Company’s e-mail to create a systematic flow of intercompany and customer correspondence.
• Providing support necessary to all in-house users, agents, and subsidiaries to be highly productive
• Documenting service and installation actions connected to Rexing Companies systems
• Work with Third-party vendors in backing up, archiving, and verifying data backups to ensure system or file data recoverability as well as any other periodic operational activities
• Work with third-party vendors in participating in the testing of the Disaster Recovery plan to restore infrastructure
• Ensuring the operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements and tests
• Other duties as assigned

Experience, Education, and Skills

• At least 5 years of experience in Management, or Electrical and Computer Engineering.
• Knowledge of Active Directory and Group Policies, project management, spreadsheet, and word processing software
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, agents, and other outside organizations
• Configure routers, switches & wireless AP’s that support a wide range VPN, QOS, NTP, DNS, SSH, FTP, and firewall services
• Demonstrate a strong understanding of network monitoring tools and advanced network security practices
• Basic database server management skills
• Possess strong analytical skills and effective interpersonal and communication skills
• High level of focus and professionalism
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to prioritize and ensure successful completion of projects
• Experience working with Palo Alto, Juniper Enterprise and Cambium is preferred but not required.
• Light work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
