The Data Analyst will perform analysis, reporting and projects for the Data Management Organization. The Data Analyst will be responsible for analyzing master data for inconsistencies and anomalies; assist as needed with the Master Data day-to-day activities; and execute projects driving Master Data integrity.
Position Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:
- Completes a variety of preventative maintenance tasks on customer master, item master, and other identified data domains to drive data accuracy and maintain a high integrity of Master Data.
- Performs Ad-hoc master data analysis and assist with special projects addressing Master Data improvements.
- Performs analyses on Master Data, addresses data discrepancies, and updates missing information in the database when applicable.
- Ability to apply logical and critical thinking skills to identify issues driven from master data and correct accordingly.
- Assist other team members and supervisor with producing and analyzing various reports.
- Assist team members within the Master Data in day-to-day activities.
- Develop, publish and maintain weekly, monthly and quarterly DMO reports and KPI’s.
- Participate in team activities, including department meetings.
- Works under general supervision using independent judgment to complete required tasks.
- Supports with cross-functional projects that implement master data structures that support business functionalities and reporting.
- Other projects or duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business, Finance or Accounting.
- 1-3 years of experience in Master Data Management (MDM), Data Governance, Data Quality domains, and MDM tools; preferably Stibo hands-on experience
- Experience with MDM algorithms (matching, merging, unification, etc.)
- Experience with data profiling, data cleansing, fuzzy matching, Customer/Product/Supplier hierarchy management.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to focus on details.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Ability to interact with personnel at all levels of the company.
- Must possess strong interpersonal and exceptional problem solving skills.
- Must be able to handle multiple tasks/projects at one time.
- Must be able to meet deadlines and deal with pressures associated with those deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, expert level in excel.
- Ability to apply logical and critical thinking skills to various situations at the same time.
- Applicant must demonstrate excellent communication skills, quantitative skills and problem solving skill.
- This position must pass a post-offer background and drug test.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Experience working in a distribution/manufacturing environment.
- Experience with VIP system (Vermont Information Processing).
- Experience with Stibo (STEP MDM).
