Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Diesel Fleet Technician to join our team in Highland Park, MI. As a key member of our fleet shop, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the health and performance of our diesel equipment.
Responsibilities
- Preventative Maintenance: Identify root causes of basic failures to perform repairs as needed.
- Documentation: Complete thorough documentation for work orders of repairs and preventative maintenance.
- Equipment Inspection: Inspect brake systems to ensure machines are in proper operating condition.
- Maintenance and Repairs: Use hand tools and power tools to perform routine maintenance and repairs.
- Safety Protocols: Examine and adjust protective guards, loose bolts, and specified safety devices.
Requirements
- Education: High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) and 2 plus years of related experience.
- Lifting Requirements: Ability to frequently lift 50 pounds, occasionally lift 100 pounds.
- Driver's License: Must have a valid Driver's License to operate applicable company vehicles.
- Tools: Must possess own tools (have minimum tool requirement).
Benefits
- Weekly Pay: $30.80/HR to start.
- CDL Incentive Pay: Receive an additional $1.00 on hourly rate with active CDL A.
- ASE Certification Incentive Pay: Receive 0.25 for every T Series ASE active certification (upto $2.00 additional pay).
