Fleet Diesel Mechanic B Position
We are seeking a highly skilled Fleet Diesel Mechanic B to join our team at Reyes Coca Cola Bottling facility in Alsip, IL.
Job Summary:
This is a full-time, 3rd shift position (Sunday - Thursday, 9:00PM-5:30AM) with a starting hourly rate of $29.06. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing repairs and maintenance on trailer/tractor equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform preventative maintenance on fleet diesel equipment, identifying root causes of basic failures and making necessary repairs.
- Complete thorough documentation for work orders, including repairs and preventative maintenance.
- Inspect brake systems to ensure machines are in proper operating condition and verify equipment licensing and registration.
- Use hand tools and power tools to perform routine maintenance, such as changing oil, checking batteries, and lubricating equipment and machinery.
- Examine and adjust protective guards, loose bolts, and specified safety devices.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) and 2 years of related experience.
- Ability to frequently lift 50 pounds and occasionally lift 100 pounds.
- Valid Driver's License to operate company vehicles.
- Possess own tools, meeting minimum tool requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Technical School Certification.
