Job Summary:

The Assistant Store Manager works with the Store Manager on the overall management of the Waikele and Kapolei stores.

Specific Responsibilities Include:

• Working together with the Store Manager to direct and support a cohesive and highly functioning team of professional sales associates in reaching their sales goals and the store's sales goals.
• Assist the Store Manager with hiring qualified sales associates, as necessary, to keep the store fully staffed.
• Partnering with our sales associates to ensure opportunities for success are being addressed through regular team meetings.
• Leading by example to mentor our sales associates, as needed, in successful selling techniques and clientelling skills.
• Conducting regular performance reviews using performance-based metrics to recognize incredible performance, and to proactively address any performance issues as they arise, including termination, if necessary.
• Delivering a Premium Customer Experience.
• Ensuring we deliver a premium customer experience, training our team to transform curious store visitors into lifelong Reyn Spooner fans, as we share with our customers the story of Reyn Spooner, as well as the story behind each print.
• Ensuring that all sales associates are able to communicate the superior attributes of our shirts (original artwork, high quality details, built to last for future generations).
• Maintaining a warm, welcoming environment following the seasonal plans by the Visual Merchandising team
• Assist the Store Manager in ensuring the store always looks its best, and that any sales associate down time is spent restocking and tidying up the store Keeping the "Trains Running" at a High Level of Operational Excellence.
• Tracking and consistently achieving store sales targets and other Key Performance Indicators (KPI) set by the company on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
• Overseeing end of month operational processes (petty cash reconciliation, damages, cycle counts, productivity, etc).
• Overseeing in-store replenishment to maximize product availability on the floor and the amount of time our sales associates spend with our customers.
• Managing store inventory (facilitating transfers between stores, RTV's and consolidations to get the right stock in the right place at the right time)
• Reviewing operational reports and records to ensure adherence to Company policies and procedures
• Assist with making bank deposits on a daily basis.

• Willingness to perform other duties as required that are necessary to support the business.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, holidays, and weekends, to meet the needs of our thriving business.
• Proficiency in basic math and computer skills (including excel, power point, and word)
• High School diploma or GED.

Physical Requirements:

• Lift and/or move up to approximately 50 pounds frequently
• Bending/stooping/kneeling required – frequently
• Climbing ladders up to 8 feet – occasionally
• Routine standing for duration of shift (up to 8 hours)
