Pay: $20.00/Hour
Responsibilities
The Maintenance Mechanic’s primary job function consists of placing tooling into and removing tooling from equipment, maintaining, inspecting, diagnosing, and troubleshooting all types of industrial equipment. The equipment includes injection molds and tooling, extrusion equipment and thermoforming equipment. Actively participates in upkeep, repair, installation, rebuilding, and upgrading of systems. Possesses knowledge that allows a comprehensive and thorough understanding of process controls. Extensive training is provided for this role to enable a team member to be proficient in the role.
DESCRIPTION OF ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Makes safety the number one priority by driving safety initiatives.
- Placement of tools in equipment
- Removal of tools from equipment
- Basic processing of machines
- Basic operation of robots
- Start-up and shut down of equipment
- Maintenance of injection mold and thermoforming tooling
- Regular inspection of industrial equipment to prevent mechanical failures.
- Troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
- Repairs mechanical failures. Replacing bearings, pulling motors, drives, PLC’s.
- Rebuilds and adjust machine parameters to optimize production.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
- Basic experience with Automation and Robotics technologies.
- Maintains accurate and detailed documentation of maintenance activities.
Requirements
Education:
- HS Diploma or equivalency
- Industrial certification a plus.
Experience
- 3 years of progressive and related experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Intermediate computer skills in MS Office.
- Strong analytical, mechanical, electrical skills.
- Hydraulic and pneumatic understanding
- Proven mechanical knowledge and expertise
- Ability to work a flexible schedule.
- Must be safety oriented with the ability to work independently or in a team environment.
- Must have good communication skills as this role interfaces with management, engineering and operations team members
