We currently have multiple positions open for a full time or 90-day entry-level Shift Maintenance Mechanic at our fast-paced plant in Lewiston, UT.
Responsibilities
Job Duties:
- Be actively involved and support team continuous improvement efforts
- Be a resource to natural and cross-functional work teams with the emphasis on customer focus
- Become trained in Emergency Response and become an active Emergency Response Team member
- Effectively procure outside resources and information as necessary to service or repair equipment
- Maintain a neat, orderly and safe work environment make value judgments regarding equipment repair or replacement costs
- Participate in the help chain to resolve performance issues with the aid of root cause analysis
- Perform mechanical and electrical troubleshooting
- Provide assistance to the TPM team members in TPM tasks as requested
- Responsible for maintaining personal conditioning to physically perform essential job functions
- Service and repair plant machinery and all supporting equipment
- Always understand and apply safe electrical and mechanical operating procedures
- Work independently and prioritize multiple work tasks

Requirements
Education Requirements• High school educationExperience• Experience using basic shop and hand tools• Related experience, i.e. rapid responder role, automated maintenance
Preferred Skills• Ability to read and understand mechanical and electrical drawings including electronic schematics and ladder diagrams• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work on elevated platforms and equipment• Ability to work in a team environment• Analytical problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and repair mechanical systems and devices• Effective written and oral communication skills• Demonstrated troubleshooting skills
Trainees will be required to complete a course of study, which includes on-the job and related technical training. Technical training will include on the job training and course work training.
