Pay: $34.14 / Hour
Responsibilities
Your Role:
As a Journey Level Welder, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems and equipment associated with all primary production, auxiliary and support equipment using a wide variety of hand and power tools, technical manuals, blueprints, drawings, and other documentation. You will have the opportunity to:
- Follow all prescribed safety precautions, procedures, standards and regulations; work with operators, craftsmen and contractors to resolve issues.
- Gather, review and analyze information to identify and/or resolve problems.
- Perform basic construction work (rigging, installation and demolition) and able to operate shop equipment.
- Use a torch for heating & brazing and perform GTAW (TIG), GMAW (MIG) and SMAW (Stick) welding.
- Make weld repairs to broken or worn components including shafts and bearing housings.
- Use saws, grinders, metal brake, drill press, pipe threading machine and numerous shop hand tools to include precision measuring tools.

Requirements
You need to have:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Formal welding trade school completion and three (3) or more years experience as a structural and pipe welder.
- Ability to secure ASME Structural and Pipe Welding Certification.
- Proficiency in performing all pipefitting work including repairs and new installations including threaded connections.
- Proficiency in sheet metal fabrication of guards and shields.
- Ability to climb and work in high or confined spaces.
- Good communication skills, both oral & written and the ability to carry out instructions when given verbally or in writing is required.
- Ability to work in a 24/7 work scheduled manufacturing facility including off-shifts.
- Ability to operate mobile equipment including forklifts, scissor lifts and manlifts.
- Ability to perform Lockout Tagout procedures and use fall protection equipment.
