What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sales Associate - Garden Center position at Reynolds Garden Shop?
We are seeking someone to be a vital part of creating a friendly and inviting atmosphere for our customers while helping them with all their gardening needs. From giving expert plant care guidance to keeping shelves stocked with garden essentials, you’ll ensure our customers have everything they need for a great experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist customers with selecting plants, flowers, and gardening tools
- Provide care advice for plants, including watering, pruning, and soil tips
- Maintain a clean and organized garden center, including stocking shelves and arranging displays
- Process transactions and handle cash or credit card payments
- Help with the unloading of deliveries and inventory management
- Keep track of plant inventory and ensure that everything is well-cared-for
- Answer customer questions about garden products and offer expert advice
- Assist in maintaining a safe and enjoyable shopping environment for customers
Requirements:
- Interest or experience in gardening or horticulture (preferred, but not required)
- Must be able to work in outdoor conditions, lifting, and standing for extended periods
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work weekends and flexible hours
- Reliable, organized, and team-oriented
