Job Title: Senior Financial Reporting Accountant

Job Summary:
Come join our team! We are seeking a detail-oriented, proactive, and experienced Senior Financial Accountant to complete revenue accounting and generate monthly client reporting for all managed aircraft. This is a newly created position borne from sheer volume and growth in our organization. The ideal candidate will possess an understanding of accounting principles and have experience designing procedures and implementing internal controls to ensure the accuracy and completeness of our clients’ financials. The candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, and an ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Reynolds Jet is a 24/7 operation. This is a key, in-office, full-time, exempt role with regular work occurring during a standard 8 – 5 business day. Occasional overtime, as needed, to ensure timely reporting. No travel is required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process all charter and maintenance sales invoicing. Manage maintenance profitability by ensuring revenue is billed to match costs incurred.
- Generate monthly owner financial reporting package, completing or collecting all supporting schedules and documentation.
- Work closely with the finance, flight operations, maintenance operations and charter sales organizations to resolve issues, ensure alignment, and ensure accurate financial records
- Maintain and enforce internal controls to prevent fraud and ensure accuracy of company- and client-related financials.
- Act as a resource to resolve difficult revenue accounting and reporting issues.
- Identify opportunities to create efficiencies, streamline operations, reduce errors or enhance productivity of the external financial reporting process.
- Complete timely cash application of electronic desktop deposits.
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities, providing support and recommendations for financial planning.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional accounting experience and hands-on experience with general financial reporting requirements.
- Knowledge of general accounting principles and practices. Experience influencing policies and procedures.
- Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., Sage, SAP, or similar) and MS Excel.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work in dynamic environments.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Self-motivated and a self-starter.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Organizational effectiveness in a flat and egalitarian office environment. Inherent bent towards process improvement is essential. Ability to facilitate resolution of competing priorities and challenging accounting/reporting issues..
