What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fitness Manager position at Reynolds Lake Oconee?
Duties and Responsibilities: · Create, coordinate and manage the group exercise schedule for classes at Lake Club, Richland Pointe, Landing, Great Waters, and any other future locations. · Collaborate with the administrative assistant on ensuring accuracy for the schedule in Pacesetter. · Attend classes on a regular basis to ensure quality, safety and effectiveness of all class offerings · Field all personal training inquiries. Assess the member’s specific needs and pair with the appropriate trainer. · Conduct regular team meetings for group exercise instructors and trainers. · Insure that all instructors/trainers hold current appropriate certifications for their specific expertise and that everyone is current with their CPR certification. · Perform all payroll related duties for the group instructors, personal trainers, health coaches/nutritionists · Perform all annual reviews for the group instructors, personal trainers, health coaches/nutritionists · Determine any new equipment needed for classes and monitor old equipment for updates and replacements. · Develop and oversee a floor supervision program for the Lake Club and Richland Pointe fitness centers. · Work with the Director of Wellness on fitness equipment selection, layout and maintenance needs for all fitness locations · Meet with members to guide and direct them toward an appropriate fitness plan. · Collaborate with the Director of Wellness in the annual budgeting process for the fitness program. · Partner and collaborate with Director and Human Resources to recruit, hire, train and develop a high performance team of fitness professionals. · Personally teach a determined number of fitness classes and personal training opportunities. · Positive, inviting and approachable for members and team players alike. · Act as another set of eyes to the facility and hold accountable self and team to uncompromising cleanliness, SOP and how we continue to better the inviting atmosphere of the facilities. · Collaborates with training team on program development, events, holiday and virtual programs where we can include as many members in events and challenges. · Bridge the gap between other departments where we can benefit in providing solutions to golf and racquet sport athletes by offering programs types. · Understand and ensure ALL safety guidelines to support our team and keep our members safe. |
Minimum Qualifications, Experience and skills |
· B.S. in physical education, recreation, exercise physiology or related field or equivalent. · 2 years of previous management experience. · Current CPR, First Aid, Certification congruent to job description. · Experience with various strength and cardiovascular training modalities and able to teach various class types |
· Excellent communication skills with the ability to relate to a wide variety of people. · Good computer skills and technology aptitude. · Must be able to understand and follow verbal/written instructions. · Must be able to use tact and understanding when dealing with a variety of customer service problems, including stressful and highly emotional situations. · Must have the willingness to provide exceptional service to members and desire to provide leadership to position the department to achieve the mission. |
Physical Demands |
