What are the responsibilities and job description for the Laundry Room Attendant - Full Time Temporary position at Reynolds Lake Oconee?
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Sort soiled articles following prescribed methods and procedure.
- Utilize commercial laundry equipment to process (Wash, Dry, Iron, Fold) room and table linen by following prescribed methods and procedures.
- Informs the Housekeeping Supervisor or Manager of any deviations from the prescribed methods and procedures regarding the receipt of soiled linen from the rooms or food and beverage department
- Maintains the proper supply of cleaning materials
- Cleans dryer filters and washer drain filters
- Keeps the laundry area clean and orderly at all times
- Stores the stocking room linen as instructed
- Reports any laundry equipment malfunctions promptly to the Housekeeping Manager or Supervisor
- Maintains a clean, pleasant, and neat image
- May fill in as a Housekeeper when needed
- Maintains a clean supplies storage room and restocks as necessary
- Other tasks as needed by Management.
Safety Responsibilities and Requirements:
- Performs job responsibilities and operates equipment according to the company safety and training programs
- Reports safety or hazard concerns to management
- Reports any on the job injury to management
- Takes personal responsibility for safety every day
Qualifications/Requirements/Experience/Education:
- Laundry or housekeeping experience preferred
- Congenial personality; able to interact well with others
- Able to bend, stretch and lift up to 30 lbs. on a regular basis
- Able to work well without constant supervision
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time up to 90% of the time
- Able to withstand varying weather conditions
- A valid driver’s license is required
- Ability to climb and descend stairs on a regular basis
