The Recreation Staff Supervisors oversee the recreation team and swimmers. This position will assist the Recreation Program Manager in the creation of work schedules for each facility and manage the operation and cleanliness of the pool, deck, and bath house. This position will also supervise swim and pool programs along with assisting with special projects and family programming. This is a full time temporary position available from May - August (or Labor Day if available). Must be able to work any day, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities:

• Assists Recreation Program Manager in the creation of work schedules for each area.
• Manages the operation and cleanliness of the pool, deck, and bath house.
• Supervises the swim and pool programs.
• Assists Recreation Program Manager with special projects including Family Programming.
• Schedules the recreation staff and supervises their daily work duties.
• Coaches, councils, and disciplines staff in compliance with rules and regulations.
• Implements and compiles tracking of pool attendance records.
• Observes and watches swimmers and bathers on deck.
• Carries out the policies and rules of the pool.
• Assists in maintenance and cleaning of the pool and deck area, filter, and bath house.
• Gives assistance to swimmers and bathers as required i.e. basic first aid, etc.
• Assists in training employees in all duties of the recreation staff positions.

Qualifications:

• CPR/AED certified (can obtain upon hire).
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Experience working with children preferred.
• Sound physical condition to be able to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions.
• Supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 60lbs.
• Must have a valid driver’s license with a good driver’s license.
